Con el Backdoor en buenas condiciones comenzó el Billabong Pipe Masters, la última parada del ASP World Tour es crucial para todos aquellos que quieren quedarse el próximo año en la elite. Con mayoría de hawaianos fuera de competencia, la tercera ronda hoy comenzará a delinear el mapa de los posibles candidatos al prestigioso evento en la ola reina y por supuesto a la Triple Corona, donde Parko se encuentra cómodo en la carrera.

Para el continente sudamericano la gran noticia es la clasificación de Alejo Muniz, el argentino nacionalizado brasileño cristalizó su sueño de enrolarse en la burbuja de los mejores surfers del mundo. El año pasado, casi sin proponérselo, estuvo a pocos puntos de lograr el objetivo, sin embargo este año con el foco puesto en la clasificación la cosa no fue difícil. Sin dudas una gran incorporación para el team NIKE 6.0, que apostó a Alejo como la ficha del Brasil para hacerse del título. El próximo año el mayor de los Muniz estará presente por primera vez en el Billabong Pipe Masters.
